Expert Drain Cleaning in Rapid City, SD

From a call I made at 3:30 PM I was told that this sewer backup would be passed on to the after hours crew. Since that meant that it would be after 5:00 PM, I awaited a call shortly after 5. When I had not heard from anyone by 5:45PM, I decided to call again. An answering service relayed our situation to the after hours crew and when Pete called back, he said he had not heard about this call until the answering service called him. That meant that the original call must not have been passed along which required me to do a follow up call nearly an hour later than when I expected to receive a call. Pete did arrive a little after 6:30 and did a great job and opened the line, so the hour plus delay was probably worth it. If the technician would have been alerted earlier, I would have given a five star review.

I was happy with the service from Rapid Rooter. They were on time and efficient. I thought I had a significant blockage in the main drain, but it turned out to be only a clogged sink. I will call them again if I have plumbing issues.

Great company! I had a clog in my line, and they were able to get out there fast to get that resolved for us so we could use our restroom again. Office was friendly and the tech was informative. Thank you!

Had a high efficiency (97% 70,000 btu 2stage) gas furnace installed to replace my 29 year old 80% single stage. Had gotten 3 separate quotes one company apparently didn't want my business but loyal plumbing gave the best quote on brand, efficiency and warranty. The estimator and the install techs were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional during the whole process. Would and will recommend them to anyone looking to replace or upgrade their furnace.

Great service. Unfortunately found out my water heater was not going to last much longer, but they were able to install a new one same day. Zack worked with me on understanding my options and was able to help me get 0% interest financing for a year. Would easily recommend them

I had a great experience with the plumbing team, Amanda and Kiedrich. They were very timely and arrived when expected, which I really appreciated. Both were professional, respectful, and kept their work area clean throughout the job. They went above and beyond by checking for any additional issues to make sure everything was working properly, not just the original concern. Amanda and Kiedrich also did an excellent job explaining what they were doing, what they found, and how to properly maintain the system moving forward. Overall, they were knowledgeable, thorough, and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Amanda and Kiedrich for their professionalism and quality work.

John did an awesome job! Overall, they were very timely in getting out to work on roughing in our unfinished bathroom. Customer experience was great and the work is quality. Price was nearly half of competitor prices.

Had an issue pop up and no other company area would take the time to look at the issue. Called Black Flag Plumbing and they had someone out the very next day and the issue was fixed in under an hour. They were very professional and explained everything up front of potential cost. When the work was done the price I was given was extremely lower than what I expected. I will be using only them for all future plumbing projects.

My wife and I had our water heater replaced by Ronnie. Very awesome guy! We were quote over twice as much from a different place. Very professional, on time, quick, and paid exactly what we were quoted. We will be having our furnace done by them here in the short term future. These guys are honest.

When the furnace in my older home failed, Midwestern Mechanical dispatched a technician the same day. HVAC technician Jantzen quickly diagnosed the issue and conferred with me about repair options. Although the parts needed to be ordered, as soon as they arrived he returned; quickly and professionally restoring heat in my home- thank you!

Highly recommend SoDak plumbing. Ben did a fantastic Job replacing our leaky water heater. He was extremely professional, competent, and meticulous with his work. He explained everything to us ahead of time and along the way. Very happy with how the work turned out and would use SoDak again for our plumbing needs.

Ben’s service is excellent in every way possible. When we left a message about our plumbing projects, he responded almost immediately. He maintained that level of communication and attentiveness throughout the entire process. His knowledge is remarkable, and his work is top notch. My grandfather was a mechanical contractor, did a lot of plumbing, and was highly critical of his own work and the work of others. When I sent my father pictures of the work Ben completed, his reply was that my grandfather would have approved. Supposedly A1 plumbing came into our home to do a scope of the sewer line for a potential buyer. First, their clock(timer) on their device video was NOT the right time they were here. I was in my home & they didnt show up at the time their video shows!! Infact, No one saw them in the home! They were there though, because the toliets were cleaned inside & out before they came. After they left there was STICKY residue ALL around the top water line in our toliet bowl we've never had that before!! This company has Disgusting Employees! They DUMPED nasty stuff into our lines or one of their workers couldnt hold his bathroom etiquette!! We have witnesses to this mess they left in the bowl. THEY STATED OUR LINE WAS BROKEN, THEY LIED! We have NO brakes or cracks and plumbing is working properly. We had an EXPERT evaluate with his own scope, & video after A1's horrible job. Find a REPUTABLE company there are many in Rapid City with many more years of experiance than A1. Plumbing matters dont leave it to amature pranksters and sabotagers. Their lucky our plumbing is still fine like it always has been.

I have used Action Mechanical twice since I've been in Rapid; first time was to replace a water heater and second was today to fix a sink pea trap. Both experiences have been top notch. The entire team, from the person who answers the phone to the technicians have been wonderful. They were extremely patient, understanding, and quick to schedule and perform services. I fell like they go out of their way to give a customer the best experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was a faithful customer for many years, but my latest experience with Action Mechanical was horrible. In December of 2024, an Action Mechanical HVAC tech installed a new thermostat in our home. Less than a year later it stopped working. We had no heat and it was freezing temperatures at night. The soonest Jason with Action Mechanical would dispatch a tech to our home was 10 days later. I was forced to work with another company (who sent someone same day) and their tech informed me that the WRONG thermostat had been installed by the Action Mechanical tech. (It was too high voltage for my very old direct vent wall system - which made sense because it had an air conditioning option and we had no central air.) I called Action Mechanical to hopefully receive some sort of a refund since I had to pay twice to fix the same problem in just 10 months due to their faulty work, and was told there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO because I had worked with another company to fix the problem, even though I tried to work with Action Mechanical in the first place and they refused to help in a reasonable amount of time. (Side note, I googled the faulty thermostat Action Mechanical had installed and it had terrible reviews and retailed for $40.26 Action Mechanical charged me over $107 for the part alone - $171 for the inadequate service). I wasn’t even asking the company for a full refund, just something and was basically scoffed at.

Three companies messed around for ten days before Action Mechanical sent Justin over. He was knowledgeable, determined, and found and fixed the problem in two hours. Hands down best service I’ve experienced in Rapid City in 13 years.

Our home water filtration system started leaking after a filter change on Thanksgiving. Jeremy was the only plumber to respond with a I will be right out the next day. He asked great questions and requested pictures. He kept me up to date on his arrival. Once here he was professional, fast and explained what he was doing. I am so thankful he and Colin took the time to help us out. Will definitely be using them in the future if I should need them.

Don’t use this guy. Took our money and never showed up to finish job! We have gave him deposits on 3 houses he claims he spent money and can’t finish!! Has claimed he is coming for last 7 weeks and never shows up! What work he has done is less then exceptable. Never cleans up after himself. Have pictures and text messages to prove everything on here.

Worst expirence ive ever had - the owner, Jeremy, behaved very unprofessionally and made me feel very uncomfortable. Professionalism and respect are the least id expect from any business and these guys missed the mark.
