Top Rated Plumbers in Lincoln
Benton Family Water Heaters
5423 NW 1st St #6230, Lincoln, NE 68521, USA
(402) 389-3398I had a great experience with this plumbing company in Lincoln. They completed a hydro-jet drain cleaning, cleaned out my sink trap, and fixed a sewer issue at my home. The plumber, Grant, arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, and handled all the plumbing work with skill. The price was fair for everything that was done. My house had a sewer backup valve that wasn’t installed properly before, which made it tough to get the drains cleaned out. Grant replaced the valve, even though it was a tricky job, and finished it efficiently. Now everything is working like it should, and my plumbing is up to code. I’m very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone needing a plumber in Lincoln.
5 months agoGrant and Brandon were fantastic! We had a stubborn main drain clog that left us without working plumbing for days—laundry and dishes were piling up, and we couldn’t use our sinks at all. When they arrived, they got straight to work and had water flowing again in no time. A short while later, I noticed the drain was backing up a bit, so I called the plumbing company right away to explain what was happening. Grant and Brandon returned within minutes, this time bringing in their heavy-duty equipment. They quickly located the real source of the blockage (which was pretty gross!), and worked hard to clear it out. After about 15 minutes, everything was draining perfectly—better than it ever has since I moved in. I highly recommend these plumbers for anyone needing fast, reliable service!
4 months agoFrom the start, I had a great experience with this plumbing company in Lincoln. I was lucky to have the owner personally come out to my house to give me a clear and honest assessment along with a fair estimate. He took his time, answered all my questions, and really helped me understand my options for moving forward. After I decided to move ahead, their team showed up just two days later to install my new water heater. Brandon and Grant, the plumbers who came to do the job, were both very skilled and professional. They worked efficiently and kept me informed every step of the way. What really impressed me was how friendly and patient they were, even with my dog who gets very anxious around strangers. Brandon seemed to have a real knack for putting my dog at ease, and Grant stayed calm and positive the whole time. Not only was the plumbing work top-notch, but the customer service went above and beyond. I truly appreciate their attention to detail and kindness throughout the whole process. If you need a plumber in Lincoln, I highly recommend this team—they’re the best around!
5 months agoMatt's Sewer & Drain
1616 W Garfield St, Lincoln, NE 68522, USA
(402) 476-6303Very happy with the service. Shame on me for not having the main line cleaned in over a decade of living here, but they quickly found and cleared a large root that was causing my drainage issues. They took the time to explain what happened and gave me helpful tips on how to maintain things going forward. As a first-time homeowner, that kind of advice is genuinely appreciated. Access to the drain stack in my house isn’t easy when it comes to getting equipment in, but they handled it without issue, got everything flowing properly again, and did so at a very reasonable cost. I’d absolutely recommend them!
2 months agoI called Matt's Sewer and Drain about a leaking shower drain issue. They were able to get me on the schedule during the time period that worked best for me (didn't have to sit there for a 5 hour block of time like other plumbing companies make you do). Matt showed up with an assistant and they were both very professional and pleasant. Matt answered my questions and showed me what he was doing. They were able to remove the faulty gasket, install a new one quickly and ensured it was sealed properly and then added a couple of pipe hangars that were previously missing. Prices were very affordable. I will definitely be calling Matt's Sewer and Drain up again if I have future plumbing needs
3 months agoMy landlord just had Matt's Sewer and Drain come to deal with my backed up toilet. Incredibly nice guys! They got everything cleaned out and working again in short order. Would absolutely recommend!
4 weeks agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service
3901 W Cavalry Ct, Lincoln, NE 68528, USA
(402) 464-6354Joe and Devan came to our rescue cleaning out a 210 foot main line that wasn't draining correctly. They also identified issues which will need to be addressed - and helped educate me along the way with options to approach it. I'd also add since the problem needed to evaluated as they progressed - they were flexible on the final price given they needed to come out for a second day of service, that wasn't planned for - to correct the issue. They were easy to work with, polite, patient, and kind. Absolutely recommend. Thank you Joe and Devan!
5 months agoDevan was great. Had a backup coming through the floor drains. They were there fast and had all of the gear needed. Answered all my questions and was polite and professional. It’s expensive but when you need it done right and fast, it’s all worth it.
1 month agoI have used Rotor Rooter for over a decade and although they're priced on the slightly higher side I have never had an issue where they had to come back to redo a repair. They operate on a quote basis and inform of any additional steps needed if something doesn't work, they can't expect the unexpected but they do not throw on surprise charges. My last experience their customer service was exceptionally friendly and helpful, they valued my business by trying to work me in their schedule as best they could. When others wouldn't pick up the phone for a last minute repair, Rotor Rooter was there to help. I've dealt with companies that would have valve knobs not tightened enough causing leaks, wrong size gaskets installed on toilet drains, stories of people getting screwed over with techs slacking on their phone; costing the customer more money, etc. Throughout my time with this company I've always gotten techs who have put a priority on fixing your problems asap with no further issues while keeping the price as quoted. From the start they've always been reliable and I'll be more than happy to continue to use them for my plumbing needs, thanks!
3 months agoBigfoot Sewer Drain and Plumbing Repair
1331 N 54th St, Lincoln, NE 68504, USA
(402) 540-9116Came quickly to help with a particularly stubborn clogged sink. Resolved issue and was able to provide us with some tips and tricks to prevent the problem from happening again. Called again when it was time to replace my water heater. Scheduled quickly and job was done before we felt the pinch of not having hot water. Reasonably priced and professional, would certainly recommend.
2 months agoNeeded my sewer cleaned out before the holidays they came the same day and did a great job, definitely calling them again for my next plumbing repair
2 months agoCalled him for help with a chronic plugged shower drain and not only was he able to fix our plugged drain but he also noticed our faucet had a leak. He fixed this as well, and I couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. I think it says a lot about a company when they go that extra mile to make sure the customer has a safe home.
7 years agoJohn Henry's Plumbing, Heating, Air, and Electrical
2949 Cornhusker Hwy, Lincoln, NE 68504, USA
(402) 809-1016Ian came this morning to do an assessment of all of the plumbing in my house. He did an amazing job checking all of the drains, the water softener, hot water heater and the toilets. He was extremely knowledgeable and identified the causes of some of the issues I was experiencing. He was able to stay and fix small problem areas on the spot. My water softener was no longer working and the hot water heater was over 10 years old and filled with sediment. Because I am a member of the VIP plan, I was able to bundle the replacement cost and get great discounts. Ian was able to work with coworkers and get everything replaced that same morning. I am thrilled to have hot, soft water again! And, I am thrilled to be working with the service technicians at John Henry’s. They are professional and efficient in their work and made sure I was educated and informed along the way. It was a very positive experience.
2 weeks agoJohn Henry’s was great to work with. They came out, gave us a free estimate on the spot for the work we wanted done and the price was fair. They let us schedule a time that worked for us and then came out and installed our new shower base and mixing valve, and tub and mixing valve with no issues. The guys that came to our house were knowledgeable and patient with the tight tub quarters and figured out the best way to approach it with the least amount of wall repair as able. We are very happy with their work.
5 months agoJustin R. and Damian C. did a fantastic job installing my furnace and AC. They were on time, respectful of my home, and extremely knowledgeable. They walked me through the system, answered all my questions, and made sure everything was set up properly before they left. The install was clean, organized, and very professional. It’s clear they take pride in their work. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would absolutely recommend them.
2 weeks agoWellmann Plumbing
3130 S 6th St STE 100, Lincoln, NE 68502, USA
(402) 434-2400Wellmann came out this morning to unclog the main that we just noticed backed up last night. I'm very thankful they could make time on such a short notice. Nick was very good at his job and cleaned up after himself very well. I asked a lot of questions and he was very helpful in answering them. I would recommend Wellmann Plumbing to anyone and will use them for any of my future needs.
1 year agoI hope this review helps someone else out there. I called around for estimates to do a simple job that I did not have time or tools to complete. My old steel drain pipe for the washing machine finally rusted out at the base where it is plumbed into the concrete. Wellmann sent out their professional service tech and said the job should not take more than 6 hours from start to finish. He did not tell me how it would cost. The next day I called and spoke with Rob (financial guy for the plumbing side of the house) and asking him what Wellmann's hourly rate is. He told me that it was $105 per hour. After speaking with Rob I told him that I would like to schedule a time to come and fix the drain pipe leak. Remember I asked for an estimate and was emailed the approx cost for $625. The service tech was on point when he showed up and got right to work. It took him less than 4 hours to complete the job and did a good job doing so. Thank you. 3 weeks later I get the bill for $625. Seriously... I asked for an estimate. This estimate was for 6 hours that only took less than 4 hours to complete. Do the math. Materials cost roughly $25. Should not have cost me more than $425. I called about this and spoke with Rob about it. Let's just say that he was very unprofessional due to him arguing with me and laughing saying that I agreed to the $625 estimate. I never signed anything, literally nothing. The service tech did the job under 4 hours so, I should be billed appropriately for the time ON the job. Rob finally agreed to adjusting the bill due the time completed and materials used for the job. His comment to me, "this is how business are run". He wanted to overcharge me more than $200 dollars. I guess that's how you run a shady business, trying overcharge your customers. Not a professional business in my personal opinion. I gave this a three star review, because the work done was to standard and service tech was professional.
3 years agoVery professional and responsive business, from the initial appointment scheduling to the finished work. We had a drain leak which was leaking behind the walls which affected our kitchen and bathroom faucets. I scheduled an appointment with Wellmann plumbing, and was able to schedule an exact time for the work, rather than be given a 'window' in which the service person would arrive. We were told our plumbing professional would be Jim, who arrived right at the scheduled time. Jim made the work look very easy, and said it turned out to be pretty easy, although it looked pretty hard to me. Afterwards, while testing for leaks, Jim noticed our strainer in the kitchen sink was also leaking pretty badly, so he took the time to also take care of that, which presented it's own set of problems since it is also hooked up to the disposal and dishwasher. Jim made that look easy too, though, and was finished doing everything in a very reasonable amount of time. He also cleaned up very well, and left everything as clean as it was before he came. We're very happy with all aspects of the service, and will definitely be calling Wellman Plumbing for all our future plumbing needs.
2 years agoBethany Repair Plumbing and Rooter-The Drain Specialist
2310 Jenna Ln, Lincoln, NE 68512, USA
(402) 304-9133Bethany Plumbing was absolutely great. I had water coming up out of my basement shower drain and floor drain anytime I washed clothes or drained the bath tub. I knew I needed my main sewage drain cleared out. I called on Monday around lunch time and they said they could be out the very next day. They called me the day of my appointment to let me know the plumber would be to my house in about 30 minutes. The plumber's name was Emerson and he showed up on time and got to work right away. It only took him about an hour to clear the drain. He told me exactly what the problem was (tree roots and cast iron build up). My bathroom was clean and dry when he left and the final price was only $300. I had other larger plumbing companies quote me $800. I will 100% be calling these folks again if I ever need plumbing work in my home.
1 year agoWe had a different plumber's snake break off in our pipe. He was unable to remove it. So we needed to contact another plumber. The second plumber was unable to assist us. So off of the recommendation of a co-worker we contacted Bethany Plumbing. They responded immediately and were able come out that week. Matt was very professional and knew just what to do. Within about 20 min he had the line and blockage free! I was so happy as the second plumber thought we would probably need to go through the concrete to get to the line. Would definitely work with Bethany Plumbing again!
3 years agoWe had to call Bethany Plumbing after our home warranty company dispatched the worst plumbers I’ve ever seen who didn’t even try to fix our issue, and had no idea what they were doing. Then they told us our warranty wouldn’t even cover our issue. At this point we had been unable to use water in home for 3 days. I called Bethany plumbing first thing in the morning. They told me they had a full schedule but they would be able to come by no later than the next day, but they would try to squeeze me in. They were able to get to my home in the same day, fixed the issue in a little over an hour, and the cost was reasonable. The plumbers and the lady I spoke with on the phone were professional, and courteous. We will definitely return if we are in need of a plumber again. Thank you!!
2 years agoMark's Plumbing
2045 S Folsom St Suite C, Lincoln, NE 68522, USA
(402) 440-8151We hired Marks Plumbing to replace about 40' of 100 year old clay-tile sewer pipe that had broken and was causing backup. Not only was their price amazingly fair (beat competitors by more than 50%), Mike Montanez was fantastic to deal with given we had some unique cross-property easement issues. Adding to this, his crew of Jordan, Jordan, and Grayson were incredibly polite, kind, and were super helpful in unearthing some treasures that came out of the ground during the excavation. No way in hell I'd hire anyone else for this kind of work. We're stunned by how well this project went, given the stressful situation it was. There's a reason they have the abundant excellent reviews they have. They've truly earned it in all facets of the job. Thank you Mike, Jordan, Jordan, and Grayson!!!
4 months agoMark’s plumbing did a fantastic Job fixing our broken sewer pipe. We had emergency with our sewer pipe and it needed to be fixed immediately to prevent further issues within our house. We initially called one of the “bigger” guys in town and their prices were insane. We wanted to second quote and that’s when we called Marks! They provided all the info we needed and were half the cost and did just as good of a job. In fact, they caught an issue that the bigger guy missed. That was the deciding point for us. There was a small issue during the repair that Marks was responsible for but they quickly promised to fix it and they did. Highly recommend them for your pluming needs in town! Thanks guys!
2 months agoMark’s Plumbing did an outstanding job replacing our sewer line and sprinkler backflow preventer. From start to finish, they were a pleasure to work with. They handled everything seamlessly, including coordinating with our insurance company, which took a huge load off our shoulders. Communication was clear and consistent throughout the process, and they even offered a payment plan for the remaining balance, which we greatly appreciated. Their crew was not only highly skilled but also incredibly friendly and professional. They worked efficiently and left everything in great shape. If you’re looking for reliable, customer-focused plumbing services, I highly recommend Mark’s Plumbing. They exceeded our expectations in every way!
1 year agoBob Nohavec Plumbing Inc
3400 S 6th St, Lincoln, NE 68502, USA
(402) 420-1552Another contractor was replacing and upgrading a shower for us. They recommended Nohavec Plumbing who came on time and did good work. Very happy with that. To move a drain and put in a new shower valve they spent about an hour and a half (2 visits)....MAYBE 2 hours tops. Their rate is $116/hour. We were billed $425 for labor. I called and was told it was in error and reduced to $360. Still way more than the time they spent here. I was told they charge for drive time from the shop, and even though the second visit took a total of about 10 minutes....they charge for a full hour. $360 labor for about an hour and a half of work....pretty expensive....
5 years agoThey are great. If you have an emergency they get there quick and get everything fixed

They installed a reverse osmosis for us and we did a kitchen remodel so they came in and hooked our garbage disposal that was fairly new so we could reuse it before they started with the demo. They got our new Sink reinstalled the dishwasher done and our new fridge all hooked up. They also moved a gas line for us so we could have our stove on the other side of the kitchen. Everything has been really good and very happy with the work.

4 weeks agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Lincoln
Lincoln’s plumbing needs are as diverse as the city itself, from the historic homes near the State Capitol to the newer developments in South Lincoln. Dealing with a clogged sink or a backed-up sewer line is a headache nobody wants, especially during a busy Husker game day or a freezing Nebraska winter night. Our service takes the guesswork out of finding a reliable plumber by doing the heavy lifting for you. We don't just provide a directory; we actively filter through our network of certified local professionals to find who is available in your exact neighborhood right now. We call them to confirm they can solve your specific issue today, saving you the time and frustration of calling around to busy offices.
Common Drain Issues in Lincoln
Tree Root Intrusion: As a designated Tree City USA, Lincoln's beautiful canopy comes with a downside: aggressive roots finding their way into older clay sewer lines, particularly in neighborhoods like the Near South or Antelope Park.
Hard Water Buildup: Lincoln’s water source can lead to mineral scale buildup inside your pipes. Over time, this restricts flow and makes it easier for debris to snag, causing frequent clogs in kitchen and bathroom drains.
Historic Infrastructure: In older parts of Lincoln, aging pipes are prone to sagging or collapsing. We help you find experts who specialize in these delicate systems to ensure your drainage is restored without damaging your home's character.
Tailgate Grease Traps: During Husker football season, Lincoln homes see a lot of action. Pouring cooking grease or heavy food scraps down the disposal after a Saturday tailgate is a leading cause for major basement backups in the 68503 and 68508 areas.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Lincoln
Fall: Clear your outdoor drains and gutters of falling leaves before the first Nebraska freeze to prevent ice damming and basement seepage during the spring thaw.
Winter: Keep your indoor drains flowing by never pouring grease down them; cold temperatures cause fat to solidify instantly in your pipes buried under the frozen Lincoln soil.
Spring: With heavy spring rains, ensure your floor drains are clear. The rising water table near Salt Creek can put extra pressure on your home’s drainage system, making a clear main line essential.
Summer: Increased usage of garbage disposals for summer corn and produce can lead to clogs. Always run cold water for 30 seconds after grinding to flush debris completely through your home's lateral line.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Lincoln
Pricing in Lincoln typically depends on the accessibility of the clog and whether specialized equipment like hydro-jetting is required. Simple sink augering is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing averages higher.
