Brian is a gift to homeowners. He is super knowledgeable in his field and is an innovative problem solver. Initially he was called out to us through HomeServ with a suspected municipal water line leak. He was able to troubleshoot that this was not the problem. It was clear we wanted to hire him for whatever had to be fixed to clear up our water in the basement issue. We had him replace our whole sump pump system and sump pit...which is very impressive compared to the contract grade materials that were previously used. We had him Install a water back up pump. He even brainstormed ways to help with our poor drainage issue in our yard. We feel like we finally got our house back thanks to him. He also installed a new bath tub...not cutting any corners. He replaced all piping, added extra wood, concrete etc. to make it more structurally sound. He is our plumber for any future jobs and we trust him whole-heartedly.

Our experience with Priority Plumbing and Drain was wonderful from scheduling to payment. Of course, the most important was the in between, Our Plumbing Professional called ahead regarding his arrival, arrived on time and was personable, professional and courteous throughout. A job well done!

My sewer line was clogged with tree roots, and I was able to book Priority Plumbing, who came the next day. Auger and then hydro jet to cut and then remove all traces of the roots. Brian and Max did great work, super professional and good guys. I highly recommend Priority Plumbing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service from MVP Plumbing! I can’t say enough great things about MVP Plumbing and their incredible team. We had been dealing with a slow kitchen drain for quite a while and tried everything ourselves — plunging, being extremely careful about what went down the drain, basically only letting water go through it — but nothing solved the issue. Then one morning we woke up and the sink wouldn’t drain at all. We contacted MVP Plumbing and spoke with Danielle, who was incredibly kind and understanding about how urgent a kitchen sink issue can be. Within minutes she called back and let us know that Jeff, the plumber, would be there between 1–4 PM. Jeff actually arrived a little after 1 PM, which we really appreciated. He was fantastic — professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything he was doing so we understood the issue. It turned out the line needed to be snaked. Mark arrived shortly after to help Jeff, and together they were able to get the blockage out of the pipe. From Danielle’s quick response to Jeff and Mark’s professionalism and teamwork, the entire experience was excellent. It’s rare to find a company where everyone you interact with is this helpful and customer-focused. We are so grateful and will absolutely use MVP Plumbing anytime we need plumbing help in the future. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and responsive service!

Such amazing service from Mark at MVP. We got a same-day appointment for a leaking water heater. Mark was extremely friendly, helpful, and thorough. He took his time to make sure I understood the work he did and all the controls for the new heater - he even let me take a video walkthrough of him explaining everything. This is our second positive experience with MVP. Strongly recommend.

I can't recommend this company enough. Mark and Jeff were amazing again! They came out, assessed the situation, gave me options and let me decide the best case scenario. They installed my new water heater at a great price and even helped me with a separate home heating issue. Offered courtesy advice and assistance for that and some great references! Excellent work and very fair.

Graham has been a great help to me! He was very thorough and did his best to unclog the drain outside. He was very helpful and friendly. I am a senior and he offered me a discount for the work that he did. Graham was the only one who called me when I called other places. They never called back. Graham has given me his contact information so I can share it with my family members and friends to let them enjoy the great service I received! You are amazing!

I highly recommend Profound flow!! Jason was a pleasure to deal with, they were on time and there was no surprise with the price, it was exactly what was proposed. If there were 6 stars to give I would. Him and his team were very knowledgeable, extremely professional, and super personable!! Profound flow has a customer for life. I had a sewer main backup in the basement after I had just paid a previous contractor twice to clear it only for it to backup 2 days later the first time and not even 24 hours later the second was told there was nothing else he could do. It’s been a week now since the guys at Profound Flow have fixed the problem and no backup!!!

We woke up one morning to a soaking wet basement. The sewer main and backed up into the laundry room. ProFound Flow was quick to respond to my calls, get a guy on site and complete the hydro jet of the main drain. That day we were back to normal and we were able to run water. This is huge for a family of 5. Thanks to Jay and his awesome team for the exceptional service. Highly recommend this company!

These guys were great I was referred by a friend. It was easy to get in touch with Jay and schedule an estimate. The guys showed up on time and did a great job hooking up all of my gutter lines to the main water line in my house in Philadelphia. Knocked it out fast in about a half day and did really professional work. The guys were great about walking me through everything before, during, and after the work was completed. They are my go to for any plumbing, drain, or heating issues for my properties now!

George Lopez at City Plumbing has the right stuff! He's honest, upfront, & tells you exactly what is going on, whether it will earn your business, or not. My kitchen had a clogged drainage line for weeks. He was able to get my line up and running. I picked up his advice for a professional solution to my new house. He gave me some cold, hard facts about the system I had. This was useful to know. My home insurance covered me less my deductible so the cost was great. He provided me with a follow-up quote for further work. George is great to talk with. He is friendly and likeable. I respect professional men like George. City Plumbing has my trust because of his integrity, hard work, and pleasant personality. This guy is worth calling before you purchase a home. He can tell you the missing plumbing system and what it will require once you have moved in. You can try these.

JAM Plumbing re-plumbed our entire 10 unit condo complex. This was a very detail-oriented job, given that many residents worked at home during COVID. A lot of coordination and planning was required. The PM maintained a current schedule, and the team worked hard and efficiently. JAM will continue to be our go-to company for all of the plumbing and contracting services we need.

We called Mr Rooter because all drains in our house had become slow with occasional backups. Inspection revealed that our main interior and exterior sewer pipes were original to the house (1949) cracked, ruptured, and on the verge of catastrophic failure. We got 10 inches of snow the day before the work was scheduled and I didn't believe it was possible in such conditions. Mr Rooter proved me wrong! The work was completed on two days, despite the snow and sub-freezing temperatures outside and in the crawl space under the house. Grateful to project manager John, excavation crew Justin, Dantea & Mark, and interior crew Chris, Murat, Tony & Mark (again:-) Job well done! Highly recommended.

Justin and Dontea were the 2 specialist that did our major sewer work. from the beginning until the completed work, they were truly very two well trained professionals. and also John The Sales Rep. was equal as well. We were very satisfying of all the work that these men did for us from Mr router, plumbing.

Outstanding service and experience with Mr. Rooter. Kevin arrived promptly, thoroughly assessed and identified a sewer line break. Explained all options clearly. The team was on time, efficiently repaired and relined the piping, and cleaned up thoroughly. It’s worth noting that there aren’t many reviews for CIPP relining expertise. excellent quality and transparency. Their standard pricing was also very competitive and the additional services I requested were far better compared to other companies I researched. they also provided a warranty for peace of mind. Highly recommend their professional and courteous service.

Me and my family are relieved! Under the recommendation of Mr. Kirk Caldwell, the CEO of Do It Right Drains and Plumbing, I was able to get a 5 foot clog removed from my water line from a recommended company in Northeast Philadelphia. The service was swift and was priced very reasonably. I regret contacting my home warranty about this and should have contacted the one who was able to do it right the first time. Thank you Mr. Kirk!!!

Kirk is the man! He responded quickly and came out to look at an issue with my vent stack. He and his partner took extra time to troubleshoot the problem, target the leak, and come up with an affordable solution that didn’t involve tearing the whole house apart. Got everything back up and running the same day! Above all that, he believes in great customer service and I highly recommend him for any plumbing work in our area!

The experience with Advanced Drains and Plumbing Repairs was disappointing! The first technician wrongly diagnosed the problem as leak in the draining pipe in the kitchen sink, asked us to wait over the weekend till he gets the parts while the leak in the basement continued. Monday when drywall was opened to change the pipe, it was realized it was not leaking. So a second diagnosis was that toilet on second floor was leaking and they reinstalled it, however in the morning it we noted another puddle of water in basement. We were told that they will come that day but later asked to wait till next day (see what happens overnight). Ofcourse this did not change the outcome and now a new area of the ceiling in finished basement showed water damage. We were told they will come that afternoon but later they said they have a big job happening and everyone is busy, so another day passed with more water damage. When finally an experienced plumber showed up, they found a leaking water pipe in the kitchen, however this took several drywall openings being made in the first floor dining room and kitchen and first floor linen closet. If this leak would have been diagnosed on day one it would have avoided all the damage to drywalls, and inconvenience. Rather than being accommodating and recognizing their failure in locating the leak company has charged an extra $450 as access fee! Thoroughly disappointed!!

I've used their plumbing services twice, I've been very pleased on each occasion with the level of service I received. I was lucky to have the same technician each time, Danny who is fantastic. He's prompt, courteous, respectful and very professional. Danny does what he needs to do efficiently and does not waste time. I wish every contractor I've ever had down through the years had been this good of a worker. Advanced Drains and Plumbing, thank you for such good service, it is very much appreciated! W.B.

I got a heater from Done Right Today. I called and Richie came out and did an estimate. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained to me the 3 different heaters I could get and I chose the double heater. (Lennox.) Great price, the men came and put it in and were very clean and cleaned up after themselves at the end. It runs beautiful, I love it!

Had a sump pump installed March 2024. Then in January 2026 the pipe to the sump pump came apart. Seems the submersible sump pump dropped down some causing the separation. Has been hard to get in contact with this plumber. Was told twice he would come out and both times was a no show. I have called 6 times and also texted trying to get ahold of him and nothing. Buyer BEWARE! Not worth the headache later!!

Professional Drain Cleaning in Wilmington, Delaware

Wilmington's unique blend of historic charm in neighborhoods like Trolley Square and the busy urban activity of the Riverfront means drainage issues can vary wildly. Whether you are dealing with a century-old pipe in a colonial-style home or a modern clog in a new condo, finding a plumber who is actually available right now can be a headache. That’s where we step in to bridge the gap between Wilmington homeowners and reliable service.

Our service takes the guesswork out of hiring. We don't just give you a list of names; we actively scan our network of certified Wilmington plumbers and filter them by your exact zip code. Then, we go the extra mile by calling them to confirm they can handle your specific drain issue today. You get the peace of mind knowing that when you pick up the phone, a professional is already pre-verified and ready to head to your Delaware home.

Common Drain Issues in Wilmington, Delaware

Old Pipe Scale in Historic Districts: Many Wilmington homes, particularly in the Forty Acres and Wawaset Park areas, feature aging cast iron or clay pipes. Over decades, mineral scale builds up on the interior walls, catching debris and causing frequent, frustrating backups that simple chemicals can't fix.

Root Intrusion from Mature Maples: Wilmington is known for its beautiful, tree-lined streets, but those old-growth maples have expansive root systems. In areas like the Highlands, roots often find their way into tiny cracks in sewer lines, creating massive blockages that require professional hydro-jetting.

Basement Drain Backups: With the Brandywine River and Christiana River nearby, Wilmington's water table can be high, especially after heavy rains. This often leads to hydrostatic pressure and slow-moving basement floor drains, which can quickly turn into a messy flood if not cleared promptly.

Grease Clogs from Local Dining: Wilmington’s vibrant culinary scene is a plus, but for those living near the downtown business district or Union Street, shared sewer lines can often suffer from heavy grease buildup. These 'fatbergs' can cause localized backups that require high-pressure cleaning to restore flow.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Wilmington, Delaware

Spring Rain Preparation: As the spring thaw hits Delaware, ensure your exterior area drains and gutter downspouts are clear of debris. Wilmington’s heavy spring showers can easily overwhelm a partially blocked drain, leading to foundation seepage.

Fall Leaf Management: Before the first frost hits New Castle County, clear away the heavy leaf fall from your outdoor drains. Decaying leaves are a primary culprit for clogged storm drains around Wilmington properties during the late autumn months.

Winter Pipe Protection: Delaware winters can be unpredictable. When temperatures drop below freezing, even a small clog in an outdoor-facing pipe can lead to a freeze-up. Keep your drains moving to prevent ice blockages from turning into burst pipes.

Summer Humidity & Sump Pumps: Wilmington summers are notoriously humid. Ensure your basement floor drains and sump pump discharge lines are clear to handle the extra condensation and sudden Delaware thunderstorms that can occur in July and August.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Wilmington, Delaware

$175-$550

Prices in Wilmington typically depend on the severity of the clog and the equipment required. A simple sink snake is more affordable, while main line clearing or hydro-jetting for tree roots involves specialized machinery and higher labor costs.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Wilmington, Delaware

How fast can I get a plumber to my home in the Brandywine area?

We specialize in speed by calling Wilmington plumbers in your zip code immediately. Most homeowners in the 19801 to 19810 areas can see a technician the same day because we verify their schedule before connecting you.

Do Wilmington plumbers offer emergency 24/7 service?

Yes, many do, but finding them can be hard. Our service specifically filters for 24-hour availability and confirms it with a phone call so you don't waste time calling plumbers who aren't answering.

Why are my drains gurgling after a heavy Delaware rainstorm?

In Wilmington, heavy rains can saturate the ground or overwhelm municipal sewers. If your drains gurgle, it may indicate a venting issue or a partial blockage being pushed to its limit by the high water table common near the Delaware River.

Can you help find a plumber for a historic home in Trolley Square?

Absolutely. We verify plumbers who have experience with the specific plumbing architectures found in Wilmington’s historic districts, ensuring they use the right tools for older, fragile pipes.

What is the most common cause of sewer backups in New Castle County?

Aside from aging infrastructure, tree root intrusion from Wilmington's large canopy of mature trees is a leading cause of main line blockages. We can find you a local pro equipped with camera inspection tools to locate the problem.
